Gilbert Erelumhe Odior, FNAPE, CPG
President

Gilbert Erelumhe Isimape Odior was born on July 21st, 1957, in Ogbona, Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria. He began his educational journey at Saint John’s Primary School, Ogbona, from 1966 to 1970, followed by Saint John’s College, Fugar, from 1970 to 1974, and Edo College, Benin City, from 1974 to 1976.

Gilbert furthered his education at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Geology in 1979 and an MSc in Petroleum Geology in 1981. After completing his NYSC program in Cross Rivers state, he embarked on a distinguished career in the oil and gas industry, spanning over four decades.

Gilbert retired from ExxonMobil in December 2015 as a seasoned geologist with over 40 years of experience. He has a strong background in asset management, oil and gas management consulting, government relations, mentoring, and building future generations. Currently, he serves as the Managing Director of Field Support Services (FSS), an oil and gas industry support services firm specializing in interface management and regulatory services, project-specific manpower supply, university assistant programs, and community development work.

Throughout his career, Gilbert has demonstrated innovative leadership and a commitment to excellence. He has held various leadership positions, including President of the Nigeria Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) from 2004 to 2005 and President of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) from 2012 to 2014. He has also served as a Director on the National Data Repository Board and received the prestigious Vlastimila (Vlasta) Dvořáková International Ambassador Service Award for his leadership, dedication, and long-term commitment to AAPG and promoting its ideals within and across the African Continent.

He is active in several professional organizations and Social Clubs including Nigeria Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Nigeria Gas Association (NGA), Nigerian Mining and Geological Society (NMGS), American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), National Data Repository Board, Fellow of Nigeria Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), and Certified Petroleum Geologist of AAPG and member of Ikoyi Club 1938.

He believes in people and goes beyond the usual call of duty to touch people’s lives in remarkable ways, bringing out the best in them. He is energetic, a great team player, flexible, upwardly mobile, and focused on bottom-line results, making him a good manager of people and resources.

As a proud son of Ogbona, Gilbert has actively contributed to the development of the community in all spheres of human endeavours. He has been an active member of the Ogbona Federated Union and Ivhiochie Family Meeting, Lagos Branch, since 1981. He was a strong member of the Ogbona Advisory Committee set up by the Okphe Ukpi to map out ways to develop the community. He facilitated the construction of a state-of-the-art model school building at Ogbona Secondary School, Ogbona, by ExxonMobil.

Gilbert has authored and co-authored several technical papers and reports and coordinated the production of 24 lecture series on technical and soft skills deployed to 15 universities across the country. He developed the Exciting World of Geology for Geoscience career talk for Senior Secondary school, which has been delivered to over 400 schools across Africa through AAPG Africa Region Young Professionals.

Bernard Kasim Ikhane
Vice President, Ogbona Elites Forum

Bernard Kasim Ikhane was born on April 20, 1966, in Ogbona, Etsako Central LGA, Edo State, to Chief Ikhane Yakubu (GOWON) and Mrs. Ikhane Lucy (née Ikhai). He attended Catholic Primary School, Demonstration Primary School, and Abebe Primary School before completing his secondary education at Ayogwiri Grammar School.

Bernard holds an NCE from Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University), a BA Ed in English/Literature, and an MA in English Language from the University of Benin. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Semiology at the University of Benin.

As an English Language tutor with the Post Primary Education Board (PPEB), Edo State, Bernard was certified as a Master Trainer after an intensive six-month training. He has trained numerous principals and teachers in various programs, including the Vocational Interest Inventory (VII) and Digital Technology in Pedagogy. Additionally, he is a part-time lecturer at Nosakhare College of Education in the Department of English Language and Literature.

Bernard is happily married to Mrs. Josephine Ikhane, a professional teacher and evaluative item designer, and they have three children.

His philosophy is encapsulated in the phrase: “EVEN THE SNAIL AT ITS SPEED IS RUNNING A RACE.”

Dr. John Odior Anaweokhai,
Secretary-General

Dr.John Odior Anaweokhai was born into the Catholic family of Pa Joseph Akhaniamhe Anaweokhai of Ivhiosano kindred, Ivhiochie Quarters and Mrs. Victoria Abike Anaweokhai, nee Ikhumhi of Ivhianaga kindred, Okotor quarters, both of Ogbona, Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State.

He attended Imhakhena Primary School, Ogbona and Ogbona Secondary School. He is well-read, including a PhD in strategic marketing management and entrepreneurship

He is married to Engr. Mrs Esther Anaweokhai works in the Oil and Gas Industry in Nigeria

Bar. Felix Jones Osimerha
Legal Adviser/Officer

Felix Jones Osimerha, a distinguished lawyer and devoted community leader, was born on October 1st, 1960, in Ayogwiri, Edo State. Inspired by his father, a teacher, Felix developed a passion for learning that would shape his future.

Felix’s educational journey took him to Avianwu Grammar School (formerly St John College) Fugar, Ughelli College (formerly Government College Ughelli), the University of Ibadan, and the University of Lagos, where he earned his Law degree. Felix was enrolled at the Supreme Court as a lawyer in 1985

Felix served in the National Youth Service Corps as a lecturer in law at Kaduna Polytechnic. Felix began his private legal practice in Kano in 1986 and spent 36 years serving the community before relocating to Auchi, Edo State, to be closer to his roots in Ogbona Town. As the current Head and father of the Osimerha family in Ogbona, Felix has been dedicated to helping others, particularly in his Ogbona community. He has provided financial support to many undergraduates and served in various leadership roles in the Ogbona Imhakhena Union and Ogbona Asama Federated Union.

With extensive experience in litigation, Felix is the fourth Ogbona indigene to be called to the Nigerian Bar as a lawyer. In his free time, he enjoys watching football, especially Arsenal, and travelling, having visited 35 states in Nigeria and several countries worldwide. Felix is currently the legal adviser to Ogbona Elites Forum and Patron of Ogbona Youths Forum, committed to serving humanity, especially Ogbona, with all his power and capabilities.

Peter Alenoghena Aigba
Financial Secretary, Ogbona Elites Forum

Peter Alenoghena Aigba, Financial Secretary of Ogbona Elites Forum, has a remarkable story of perseverance and achievement. Born to Raphael Idaye Aigba and Lucy Abamu Aigba (nee Okozi), Peter overcame early challenges to excel in his education and career.

Peter’s educational journey took him from Arinze Primary School in Benin City to Imhakhena Primary School in Ogbona, then to St. John’s College in Fugar, where he graduated in 1984. Despite financial constraints, he enrolled in Our Lady of Fatima College in Auchi, earning his WASC in 1989. He later became a pharmacy technician at the School of Health Technology in Benin City from 1990 to 1993.

Peter’s passion for learning led him to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma, graduating with second-class upper honours in 1999. He served as a graduate assistant in the Mechanical Engineering department before completing his NYSC at Mobil Producing Nigeria (MPN), an ExxonMobil company, in 2001.

Peter’s career in the oil and gas industry spanned over two decades, with roles at ExxonMobil, Heritage Oil and Gas, and Seplat Energy. He rose through the ranks, becoming a Facilities Engineer, Senior Reliability and QA/QC Engineer, and Maintenance Manager. Peter also supervised teams in rotating equipment maintenance, gas operations, and internal audit.
In addition to his career achievements, Peter is a respected researcher in energy systems conservation, with publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is the founding National President of Ogbona Youth Forum (OYF) and a registered member of professional engineering bodies, including the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

Peter is happily married to Josephine Aigba (Nee Anaweokhai) and has two sons. His dedication to family, community, and professional pursuits exemplifies his multifaceted and well-rounded character.

Mrs. Stella Omosibo Mode
Welfare/Social Services Officer

Mrs Stella Omosibo Mode: A Dedicated Professional and Community Leader

Mrs. Stella Omosibo Mode, a registered and licensed Environmental Health Officer, has built a distinguished career in public service. Currently serving as Director and Head of Department (HOD) of Environmental Health in the Delta State Local Government Service, she has demonstrated unwavering dedication to her work and community.

Born on August 6, 1966, in Ivhianaga, Okotor Quarters, Ogbona, Mrs. Mode is married with four children. Her educational journey took her to esteemed institutions, including Ogedegbe Primary School, Warri; Imhakhena Primary School, Ogbona; St. Angela Girls Grammar School, Uzairue; Fugar Girls Secondary School, Fugar; School of Health Technology, Benin City; and University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She holds several qualifications, including WASC in 1984 and 1986, WAHEB1990, Diploma in Public Health, and BSc in Health Education in 2001.

Mrs. Mode’s career spans over two decades, beginning in 1993 as an Environmental Health Officer. She progressed through the ranks, earning promotions to Senior Environmental Health Officer, Higher Environmental Health Officer, Principal Environmental Health Officer, Assistant Chief Environmental Health Officer, Chief Environmental Health Officer, Deputy Director, and finally, Director in 2019. Notably, she coordinated the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Programme in Warri South, collaborating with RUWSAN, Ministry of Water Resources.

Beyond her professional achievements, Mrs. Mode has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service. She has held various leadership roles, including Financial Secretary for the Warri Archdeaconry of the African Church, Secretary for the Women’s League of the Warri Archdeaconry of the African Church, Vice Chairperson for the Environmental Health Officers Association of Nigeria, Women’s Wing, Delta State Chapter, and Secretary for the Ogbona Women’s Meeting, Warri Branch.

Mrs. Mode’s extensive education, impressive career, and dedication to community leadership make her a shining example of excellence and commitment. Her contributions continue to positively impact her community, inspiring others to follow in her footsteps.

Andrew Aghukhapemho Inua
Assistant Secretary-General

Andrew Inua is a seasoned Senior Geoscientist with over 19 years in the oil and gas industry with an established proven track record of identifying new opportunities and building high-quality reservoir models and field development plans.

Currently, the lead for the Production Sharing Contract and Sole Risk Assets team at Conoil Producing Limited, where he analyzes geophysical data, develops drilling plans, and conducts geological surveys. His extensive experience spans roles as a Senior Petrophysicist and Operations/Well Site Geologist in various companies, honing his expertise in well-log data interpretation, petrophysical parameter determination, and drilling hazard mitigation.

Andrew’s professional journey began at Esso Exploration & Production Nigeria Limited, where he worked as a Liaison Geologist and Trainee Geologist, permitting appraisal wells, taking meeting minutes, and gathering contractor details.

Andrew holds a Master’s degree in Applied Geophysics from the University of Lagos and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Ado-Ekiti. Additionally, he has completed various training programs, including Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training, Managed Pressure Drilling Technology Event, Prospect and Play Assessment, and Radiation Protection for Radiation Safety Officers Training.

He is an active member of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) and the Nigerian Association of Geosciences & Mining Society (NAGAMS) and stays updated on industry developments and best practices.

Patricia Modupe Uwaiyo Orbih
Ex Officio

Born on June 25th in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area, Edo State, Patricia Modupe Uwaiyo Orbih hails from the family of Chief M.C.K Orbih. Her educational journey took her to Akpekpe Modern Primary School, Auchi, followed by St James’ Grammar School, Afuze, and Auchi Teacher’s College, Auchi. She then pursued higher education at the College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi, earning an OND in Agricultural Science.

Patricia’s academic pursuits continued in the UK, where she attended Lewisham College, earning NEBS & ODM in Management Studies. She then graduated from Greenwich University with a B.A. in Management Studies and later earned an M.A. in Management Studies from the same institution. Her creative side was nurtured at Morley College, where she completed an Introduction to Fashion course (FE Level 3), and at the London College of Fashion, where she earned a Certificate in Fashion Styling and Production.

With over 14 years of experience in the showbiz and media industries, Patricia has worked as a freelance character researcher and stylist for esteemed clients such as the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and 5, Sony Records, EMI, and various independent production companies. Currently, she freelances as a Housing Strategist with UK Local Authorities, bringing her expertise to the forefront of community development.

Lawrence Oghielu Igonor

Lawrence Igonor was born in the early 1970s in Ibadan, Oyo State, as the third child in a family of seven. His primary school education took him to three different schools in three different states in Nigeria, where he developed a strong foundation for his future academic pursuits.

As a proud pioneer graduate of Ogbona Community Secondary School (1985), Lawrence’s experience introduced him to his hometown and roots, deepening his understanding of his people’s culture, traditions, and fluency in the Avhianwu language.

Lawrence furthered his education at Delta State University, Abraka, earning a combined honors degree in Bachelor of Arts & Education (BA-ed) in English and Literary Studies (1996) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) (2001).

His professional journey began in June 2004 when he joined the Daar Group Organization as a program officer with Africa Independent Television (AIT). Through hard work and dedication, he rose through the ranks to become the Manager of Programmes for Africa Independent Television (AIT) at DAAR Communications Plc.

Lawrence has attended numerous training and workshops, earning certificates and diplomas from reputable institutions both locally and internationally, including a diploma in Public Broadcasting from USTTI in Washington DC, United States, and a Certificate in Digital Broadcasting from K-LINK in Seoul, South Korea.

He is a pioneer member of the Society of Nigeria Broadcasters (SNB), the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), and the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

On a personal note, Lawrence is happily married to his wonderful wife, Dorcas, and they are blessed with three lovely children: Oghie, Onotse, and Oshoriamhe.

Patience Omadimhe Osilama
Treasurer

Patience Omadimhe Osilama was born into the family of Chief V.A. Omadimhe and Mrs. Florence Omadimhe, both of Ogbona, Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State.

She is a highly accomplished lawyer who has made a significant impact in her field. Currently, she holds the position of Assistant Director with the Legal Services Secretariat, Federal Capital Territory Administration Abuja. In addition to her role, she serves as the Legal Adviser to the FCT Water Board and Secretary to the Governing Board of the FCT Water Board, showcasing her expertise and dedication to public service.
